Shingles Vaccination Programme

Aged 70 or 78? Or care for someone who is? There is now a vaccine to help protect against Shingles. Shingles can be very painful and tends to affect people more commonly as they get older. And the older you are, the worse it can be. For some, the pain can last for many years.

The vaccine helps reduce your risk of getting shingles and reduces the severity of symptoms if you develop the disease.

Speak to your GP or nurse for further information or visit www.nhs.uk/shingles.

If you are aged 71, 72, 73 or 79 and missed getting your vaccine, you can still get it.
